I very badly want a Corsair K70 RGB but at $170 it's a bit too rich for my blood at the moment, especially since I just bought a new motherboard and processor. That will have to wait a while.

I just got a TT Poseidon Z. It says it has "brown" switches, but they're not Cherry. It's a solid keyboard, well made, but I can't feel any detente in the switches; they activate before bottoming, but you can't tell by the feel when that is. So far I give it 3/5. It has a three year warranty.
In other news, I tripped and fell indoors on Monday, landing directly on my left shoulder. One ER trip later, it's a fractured clavicle, and I think some pulled/torn rib muscles. To make the adventure more interesting, the next morning I apparently passed out in my chair, banging my head on a low shelf edge (meds perhaps?) on the way down. As much as scalp wounds can bleed, this one really didn't much. I'm still too stiff to drive, but am otherwise recovering. Anyway that's why I've not been on much.

Wow.... I was repairing my old s3's screen if you recall (like 3 weeks ago), and in the middle of my process my dad says to give it to him because i'm probably going to screw it up. He gives it to some guy at his work to repair, and what do you know, 3 weeks later the phone comes back with an obviously fake screen, take 10 minuets to boot up, and the screen doesn't work.... Kinda bummed, considering I could have defintley fixed it myself, but time to wait another few weeks. On the good side though, I might be getting a new phone for Christmas, so yay?

f those advanced with android, after finally and painfully getting into clockworkmod recovery I tried wiping user data, regular and dalvik cache, and reflashing cm 11. When I press the screen I hear creaking so they obviously didn't use adhesive either, just tape (Like I would've), but da** it

obviously fake screen??
screen does not work??
Lol, got stiffed? replacing a screen is a walk in the park... not sure why you just didn't mail it to me. jk, Maybe you got a crap phone in an s3 shell??? I remember my cousin had some android phone stuffed inside an Iphone-5 shell. Fooled everyone but me, I found 5 flaws on the outside, multiple in the phone, and the fact that my android charger worked with it.

So my friend got a PC for 30 bucks from his brother, only to boot it up and it not work. We took a look, and he nearly died. Both literally and metaphorically. A old-stile Radeon card was in a crap PSU that outputted 200 watts, give or take a few. THEN, the HDD was not plugged in right and so wasn't the 240-pin ATX. THEN the sata cords were plugged back into the mobo. So there are 5 SATA ports on the mobo. Two were linked to another port on the mobo. Honestly, I'm happy that the thing did not explode, cause it was a FIRE HAZARD. Oh, did I mention the PSU's wire was showing thru the plastic shielding. Mean you could see BARE WIRE on some cables. Thankfully, they fixed everything and it read the HDD, but I doubt it will survive. If somehow no permanent damage is done, then he can replace the PSU, since it is standard ATX and has room for a decently-sized REGULAR PSU and not some custom PSU. Not so sure on his CPU, its a pentium 4 I believe. Bottlenecks will occur. Not sure about the GPU, as I was not there for them to get into BIOS. It had a red PCB, which points to it's age.

Disappointing, I was hoping this would of led to one of those roach infested stories

Edit: Never mind, you had to be the original owner.

The weird thing is, my s3 was rooted and had clockwork mod recovery and cyanogen mod 11 (android 4.4.4), both of which this "phone" has. I remember a nick in the top right of the phone on the corner on the actual border of my phone which greatly annoyed me and that is somehow gone. It seems that my phone body was changed in some way, like they moved the motherboard from one to another. I really would've and could've done this, but guess my dad thought it would be too expensive of a fail, if I did.

AHA! I just realized the major flaw in this phone! The sticker behind the battery that said the model number on it and all the specs is missing. This is a phony for sure!

The sticker on the actual phone, that is missing. Harsh world..

And dad does not care? Also, I am pretty sure thats the code for the international s3.
Not my PC, someone Else's. It was my friends which was given to my other friend which was given to my OTHER friend who got it from his brother(being the 2nd friend in this sentence).

That's not mine(in the pic), but just saying, it is missing on mine. He is giving it back to the guy, and he's probably going to return it with an s5 after a quick talk haha. Put a sticky note on it saying all the things that aren't right.

s5 is free on Verizon right now... Not sure if you can do cm as their page does not state compatibility. See if you can get CPU-Z on the s3 to see what it really is. It is on the play store.

I never really understood the point of rooting phones. I mean, its just a phone. I use my phone for texting, calling, iPod, and checking my stock portfolio. I have had androids until this iPhone and never one time saw any need or had any want to root them. I just don't get it I guess. Lol. Like I said, it is just a phone. It does everything I need it to.

Hmm, kinda like watercooling in a sense. A computer is "typically used" for web browsing, email, social media, and maybe some gaming. What's the point of going so custom and high end? Well, some of us like and need the extra performance, while others just love messing around. Custom roms are one of the biggest point. My s3 "was" running a newer version of android than 90% of the devices out there. Small changes like changing the color of the notification led, overclocking or underclocking for batterylife or performance, and just the overall feel. Compared to a stock s3, "mine" runs like 1000% faster (how it feels)

Yeah, my wording was crap on that free thing.
Some of us feel the need to screw around with the phone more than we should. Hence why some of us end up with a pile of bricked phones. Also why some of us get pestered with phone questions every day.
I'd get either the note 3 or the s5. Both are really similar, except for the nice screen on the note 3. personally, I'd get the s5 IF I could ROM it. Look on XDA?

EDIT[strike]:http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5/unified-development/rom-cyanogenmod-12-0-android-5-0-t2945538 maybe that??[/strike]

GS5 has locked bootloader. No CM. Other touchwiz bases ROMS such as Hyperdrive are really nice and can make everything look like AOSP.

Kids? I'm 22.

I just like having a durable phone that I don;t need a case for. Plus waterproof is cool.

I have used Samsung phones before and GF has a normal S5 she loves. Good phones for sure.

I am only considering the 6 Plus because I quite like my 5. Best Phone I have owned for sure.
