^It's never to early for free performance  As long as the voltage bump isn't high it should be able to run fine for years.

Tiny I have been keeping an eye on that subreddit... trying to do a local deal which is harder to come by.

Well, I have Windows 10 installed on this Del over here.... I have a 30 gig Partition for Windows, 20 Gigs for Ubuntu Server/CentOS since I keep on getting errors with Ubuntu, and a 25 gig Partition for Windows.
While I like the UI of Windows 10, it runs VERY slow on the Dell. This is because it has a Pentium 4 and 4 gigs of RAM at 533 MHz... The fact I finally got it to install with wifi drivers is nice. I'm searching for updated drivers for the video since it won't set the res at 1600x900...

That's a picture of my messy , nearly falling apart desk. I found a Single Link DVI cable and that's hooked up to my 740, and VGA to the Dell, and I can switch sources on the monitor. One somewhat freaky thing I noticed is that I have audio linked ONLY to my HP, and the Dell is ONLY LINKED TO MY MONITOR WITH VGA. BUT THE DELL CAN PLAY AUDIO FROM THE SPEAKERS....

Sorry about the really bad camera... My s4 camera is having a few problems... I got an extra gigabyte of data, and we can pay 15 less on the bill, but I have to wait two years for an upgrade as the loophole we had with an upgrade every year thanks to how my mom's phones and mine has upgrades every two years, and they fall in place so one of us would get a new phone every year, is removed.

Well, I would, but it was fine before. It's because of the repeated ROM flashes I believe, since on some ROMs it's perfect and on this ROM... well, I'm the only one having problems. Plus I'm sorta saving up money for the LG V10/Moto Pure/Nexus 6P... hopefully...

Plus, the ones on Craigslist might not have nc5 kitkat, which would be a deal breaker since I can't flash ROMs.. But If I could get a MDK one...

I think I had it running at 1.14 volts. It booted up fine, but I haven't fully tested the overclock with stability.

Roadkill is great. Very good show. I also keep up with it. HotRodGarage not so much, but it is still a good show.

Haggard Garage is also a good channel. It is basically a carbon copy of me and my friends from high school/college but they have much less money which makes the show more interesting.

Yeah for a dual tower cooler I can't believe how small the Cryorig is compared to a D14/D15.

Yeah I just saw the new Drag Race.. While the Corvette does win, there are some variables to keep in mind, ie manual vs automatic, different drivers, the track, etc Still cool

I like ChrisFix for any Fixs...

So... I can't get my win 10 tech preview key to work. 🙁

Hehe my build is like 6 years old, BUT greatly runs newer games 😀 , Pentium Dual-Core 3.2Ghz with 2mb chache can withstand BTF4 and call of duty ghost,
GPU some cheap low profile R7 250x 1gb OC gddr3 4gb ram ,old 2006 genius white keyboard (made by Chuck Norris) and simple 900dpi mouse from msi.Logitech 50W or 60W with bass speakers and Asus 1920x1080 Screen and medusa xe headphones.

PS. Ill post pics tomorrow.

Yea,since my is e5800 woldalfe and 4Gb ram 800mhz which i didnt said and some atx 400w psu (dont bother me its cheap chineese).I had Gt 520 fanless gpu.Im thinking of upgrading to quad core since my mobo is supporting even the X series of lga775.And they cost around 500$ the new ones and the used around 100$.

Looks Like I this is the last thing before this machine is maxed out, minus two hard drives and a network/wifi card:
-Intel Core 2 Duo Processor E8500 3.16GHz 1333MHz 6MB LGA775 CPU, OEM $11.50 w/ Shipping
-4GB DDR2 800 PC2 6400 Memory Module $ 40 bucks UNLESS I can trade my RAM in for a faster Speed
-Thermal Paste- 3 bucks
-Isopropyl Alcohol- Free

Core2 runs best with the RAM at a 1:1 Ratio with the FSB. So with an E8500 you have 333Mhz x 9.5x multi to get 3.16Ghz. So at stock DDR2 667 is a perfect match ( DDR = Double data rate, the actual memory clock is 333Mhz.) If you overclock to 400Mhz FSB x 9.5x multi = 3.8Ghz clock speed. Then you would need DDR2 800. It's only going over that 400Mhz FSB that you want faster RAM.

I ran an E8400 at 4.050Ghz ( 450FSB x the 9x multi found on that chip) with 4GB of 2.1v Corsair DDR2 800 with the 4-4-4-12 timings loosened to 5-5-5-15 for the slight overclock to DDR2 900. Ran great for years on a Gigabyte P45 motherboard.

Nothing either good or bad. Core2 was just happiest with a 1:1 ratio and it can't really use anything faster. You can't change the FSB at all? You might can find a cheap board somewhere like Craigslist.

An E5300? to an E8500 will be a big upgrade but those Wolfdale chips will go to 4Ghz very easily. You would need a cheap cooler too.

It's more of the whole OS tied to motherboard sort of deal. My FSB goes to 88/1066/1333, processor dependent.
I'm looking to see since my AVC OEM stuff goes up to a 65 watt TDP its a screw in one..

BiOS isn't very, ah, feature rich, but I've seen and am using worse. And there are no updates either.

If your BIOS are locked something like SetFSB might be your only choice if you want to try overclocking. Not generally as safe and as reliable as a BIOS overclock but as long as you keep it reasonable there is no reason not to try it.

If there is a FSB 400 option that would take you to 3.8Ghz ( with the E8500 ) and you shouldn't need a voltage increase for that. It would also give you a 1:1 FSB/RAM ratio.

Alright.
[strike]So I figured that the E series CPUs are of the 45 nm process. So the BiOS determines if the CPU will work, right? Would v5.24 from Phoenix Recognize a quad core, would you think? I'll pitch this idea if I can find one for under 30 bucks[/strike]. the E8500 is 12 bucks.
Negate that. No quad cores were under Wolfdale and that's as far as this Mobo will go.
