If our wooden case thing turns out well, someday I'll make that case I was talking of a page or so back that has water in all the walls. I tend to have an appreciation for cases more than the average consumer. I just like cases I guess.

3D printing a case sounds cool! How much would it cost?

New idea has struck me, a fish tank PC.

Edit: darn, already done:

Luke did that before he worked with/under Linus(I believe without the fish) since its mineral oil... Wait fish can live in mineral pil?

Mom said she is attempting to get an appointment at Costco today( which won't happen). The front GT Americas or GT etc are balding( from the middle out) and the car needs an alignment. Costco quoted 500 for the two front tires ( two Michelin's, 250 a piece). And since we don't have a thousand dollars and mom is dead set on Costco....

Monoprice has the IDE adapter I need...

Friend's new build. Stuck on 1440p and the water cooler. That specific water cooler seems to have good reviews on quality and performance, so... That build was about 2800, but is now at a much more reasonable, 2k

Tires balding in the middle may not have been inflated to the right pressure; I believe overinflated, but TV can correct me if I'm wrong (they'll look concave when you take the wheel off due to excess wear in the center of the tire).

So I'm theoretically ordering my IDE to SATA adapter in the next two days... Anyone have experience with this? Some people say to mess with the jumper... I might make it into a dual boot thing, but right now its a backup so I can move to win 10 Pro..
Costco appointment is tomorrow, which won't happen most likely because the CyberPatriot Tournament is tomorrow... I'm hastily trying to memorize other terminal commands... I know the basics, su, sudo, ifconfig, ls, chmod, gedit, etc.... beyond that... no clue.. But I know the GUI for Ubuntu very well.
That said, they said 250 per tire and none of Costco's website tires are at 250... Most expensive one is 175 with the discount... otherwise the most is 200.. I'm thinking of convincing my mom to get a full set of Michelin Pilot Super Sport's seeing as it's under 500.. Any thoughts anyone?
Also, turns out the substitute today(ex-cop), his brother works for bridge stone designing the tracker software for mining rigs for thier tires... No clue what that means, but sounds cool 😛.

I don't like the tread on them though... Seems too little(but what do I know)...

Back to going through the commands.. from the top...

@Bossy
No way you can talk your friend out of water cooling. I'd go with an h7 so save some money... It should be enough for the i5...

@Onus
The tires were done at American Tire..

Tires balding in the middle indicates WAY too much pressure. Not like 3-5PSI too much, but like 15-20PSI too much. Decently dangerous. Check the pressures and ensure they are correct. There will be a sticker in the driver's doorjam or on the backside of the fuel door to tell you the correct pressure.

Post a picture. If they are bad enough in the middle, you will need to replace them because the load of the car will not be properly or safely distributed when the tires are aired down to proper PSI. Also, over-inflation will stretch the tire so inflating it to the correct PSI will result in a saggy flat-looking tire. I would replace them. I would like to see a picture of the worst one first though.

What car did these tires go on? The Super Sports? Those are a high performance tire designed to be half decent on the road while meeting specs for autocross and track racing. Not good for a daily driver at all. They have poor rain performance and are VERY 'greasy' feeling in the cold. They are not designed to be used or even be safe under 40f. They really are a road-going track tire. They will wear 2-3x faster than a regular all season. On a standard car like your Acura expect like 20k miles out of them before they are at the markers.

Iirc, Optimus was a Radio Shack brand of mostly bookshelf speakers some years ago. For the price, they weren't too bad, although audiophiles scoffed at the brand in general. I had a small set; I though they sounded pretty good.
I've also seen references to an "Optimus Prime," who sounds like someone you don't want to meet in a dark alley, but I really don't know much about him.

Ahhh I got a letter for jury duty for the Canadian court. Had to fill in a questionnaire, and drop it off at a mail box. Has anyone done jury duty before?

But in the other hand, got to shoot some guns at a range. Shot a SA VZ 58, a AR15 that another company made with a red dot sight, and a Glock 9mm. Didn't like the pistol, but loved the rifles. Going to try a 12G shotgun next time.

Nvidia has been acting a bit cocky now IMO. News about requiring users to have geforce experience if they own a Nvidia card, and registering your email to receive drivers. People want to play games! Not to deal with stuff like that. I don't have any issues with geforce exp, but some people just don't want it.

A few problems I have with it. They don't tell you how long you'll be in for. They don't pay you for the first 10 days. It can last to 9am to 4-5pm,and they don't care if you have work, or if you're needed at work (My bosses need me at all times, family business) If you have a car, you have to pay for parking.

I don't know the location, but I REALLY hope it'll be close if I get picked. If I have to drive 30km or more, that will suck.

I think a Jaguar F-Type would be my dream car, though you couldn't use it as a daily.

I've not been called for jury duty. I'd be happy to serve, although I'd hope the cases would be interesting.

The podcast I was just listening to had a call in topic about various ways you got out of jury duty. I was thinking of the 30 Rock episode where Tina Fey dressed like Princess Leia. :lol:

Yeah totally, some of my neighbors swear by them. If I could afford an XE for my next car I would do so without even thinking about it!

I'm not interested in "getting out of" jury duty; that so many people are, is one of the problems we face.

I actually did serve as the alternate of a jury, but the case ended after the prosecutor had a scheduling conflict.
