I have bought a bunch of stuff from Micro Center, but not lately. I just got a GTX 960 for my Raven rig - a very nice upgrade from the 760 I was using. The 760 will go in my work PC where it is a tremendous upgrade from the Radeon 7870 I was using.

$130 for WD, $140 for Hitachi

Ooh thank you. Honestly, yeah all the drives are similar. I have a WD and Seagate in my PC. Seagate is noisy and scratchy. WD is quiet and nice. WD is older, too.

I own laptops with Hitatchi. My laptop is quite scratchy, but that's just my personal experience.

Microcenter? I wish I could live there, but I can't. Super friendly guys, at least at my store, one guy even bundled me a price discount on a board that couldn't be discounted. It is the geek of all geeks. Yes, they do price matches, as long as it is sold from them. Like if newegg sold the wd black for 130 and Microcenter has it for 140, if newegg is the one selling it, print it out, show it to em, and get your discount.

Oh god, i really wish I could get a summer job for them, but I'd probably be bad because they do recommend the cx600 and cx750 some times.

Didn't WD buy Hitachi's HD division at some point in the last year? I think I remember seeing that somewhere.

Very difficult to get a job there, I applied a couple of times and still have yet to hear back from them.

SP120 quiets are miserable for radiators. They move 1/2 the air of the stock fans. Even if you run them at full speed, you will lose a decent amount of cooling performance.

Forget working at Microcenter. I have a buddy who did at one of the MD locations and it was miserable. You make $4 an hour and then everything else is sales. He was one of the top 3 floor sales people (worked in desktop/laptops) for the ENTIRE store including PC components and he BARELY made minimum wage most pay periods after all was said and done. Most of the floor employees don't actually make minimum wage, and the highest paid one he said only made like $10 an hour regularly, sometimes less. They also have a no-compete clause in your contract so forget about jumping ship to ANY retail store that sells electronics or office supplies.
