Will there be a follow up on the performance of the OCZ 25nm drives here at Tomshardware? I can imagine that OCZ is working hard on new firmware to overcome this huge performance gap...

in reality it appears there are three "generations" of this drive. The first was 32Gb die size 32nm, the second gen (the bad slow ones) were 64Gb die size 28nm, the third (what is currently being sold from amazon) are 32Gb die size 28nm, and are faster than gen 2 but *slower* than the original gen still. Maybe toms should do an update? (so also in reality is you RMA, you get a 3rd gen, not a 1st gen, the fastest ones). Sigh.

The problem with the swap isn't just relegated to RAID drive arrays. If you have made a Windows 7 Image backup of your data and you replace a failed 111GB drive with the new 107GB drive (same model number, remember), your backup is USELESS!!! Windows will NOT restore a 111GB disk image to a 107GB drive. So you'll have to choose between Windows and OCZ. Hmmm....

Considering Moore's Law, I would guess we will have $100 1 Terabyte SSDs in 7-8 years.
