Probably between tier 2b and tier 3. I would just get an XFX unit. Better quality for the money.

Wish that the mention of PC Power & Cooling being FirePower, Technologies was put on the initial post, so that readers treat FirePower with the respect they gave to PP&C.


Also, seem to be missing the KingWin Stryker Series (currently only the STR-500), which is odd, as it came out ~ or before 2011.

According to Antec.com, Antec's Amazon Store,Newegg, and every e-tailer on pcpartpicker, EarthWatts is still going strong.

Not sure about that either........RealhardtechX still has 6 or 8 in production. In fact check all those models they still have the Basiq in production as well.

Re-added Earthwatts and Basiq, but only one current ones.

Earthwatts / Earthwatts Platinum in Tier 2 Class B
Basiq in Tier 3

The Earthwatts to me belong in tier 2. The Basiq in tier 2b. The OEMs are Delta and Seasonic for most of them and even the ones that aren't score pretty well.

Also don't see the NeoEco Series.Seasonic and CWT as OEMs and they are rated at 50C. I would say 2b.

I would put the Basiq in Tier 2B along with the Earthwatts(Platinum),but that's just my opinion.

I would put an addition to the side of the Firepower units to say if they were OCZ or PC Power and Cooling. I don't really see PCP&C anywhere was that a brand you removed because it looks like they still have most of the same models on the market.

Guys what about the antec vp500.
Between that and Corsair Vs 550w what would be the best?

But is it true that antec vp550 is in the tier2-b list? (because just 350 and 450 are mentioned) while Corsair VS is in tier 3
I asked because in the price range (3k-3.5k) the Corsair VS series is pretty popular and honestly I want a longer lasting one..So what should be my choice?

As said before, All OCZ and PC Power and Cooling products have been rebranded by Firepower Technologies, as they bought all PSU assets from OCZ when they went into administration.

If there was a Tier 2C, I would consider moving the ZT series into it IMO as LOTS of reviewers on Amazon said that these PSUs were very loud.

As a reminder for people who are still confused with PC Power and Cooling PSUs and OCZ PSUs changing the branding to Firepower, please be advised that OCZ did own PC Power and Cooling since becoming bankrupt. Firepower Technologies purchased all of OCZs PSU divisions and facilities, including PC Power and Cooling. So if you saw in the past for example, PC Power and Cooling Silencer MK3, it's now changed to Firepower Silencer MK3.
