The printer won\'t print makes a grinding sound

The HP PSC 2175v printer quit printing. Makes a grinding thumping sound and the and it won't print. What should I do?

The carousel/feeder is powered by a transmission belt. It is likely that the belt's teeth are grinding on the cogwheel( or it could be the 2 cogwheels grinding). Time to replace the printer. These components are made of plastic and almost designed to fail after a while, so consumers need to go and buy another one.
