The Sims Expansion Packs

I have played The Sims and The Sims Living Large Expansion.
Living large contains all items of original The Sims. Does latest expansion pack Vacation contains all items of Living Large, House party and Hot date expansion?

Nope.

You need to install every expansion who's items and whatnot you want to use.

So - if you install The Sims, then Vacation:
You can use all items in the sims and Vacation

Install The Sims, then Living Large, then Vacation:
You can use all items in Sims, Living Large, Vacation.

All the expansions work like this - you are allowed to use all the items and actions for expansions you have installed, but not for expansions that you have not installed.

Maxis or EA games, whatever, recently released a Sims Deluxe pack with offers The Sims and Livin Large and "exclusive items". Atleast they're together, saving a CD to install, and at a decent price. $37.50 at amazon, compared to the $45 or so seperately.

Hopefully one day they will release a pack with all in one or two DVD disks. Excluding The Sims online, obviously. That'd be very nice, because as of now installing The Sims blows. I have to feed in the The Sims disk and five others, which takes about as long as it does to setup Windows. Not very cool.

Anyhow thought I'd update this thread with the info about the deluxe version.
