I pose my question based on articles I've read showcasing read/write speeds of current ssd's.
I've only been tinkering with this stuff for around 2 years, but it seems that 6 Gb/s of bandwidth is getting pretty close to being fully saturated.
If we are only now transitioning from 3 Gb/s to 6 Gb/s, will we have a bottleneck for ssd's in the near future?

Solution
It is all relative, it is the SATA 6GB interface that is allowing current SSD's to reach this close to the limit. Bottleneck or no bottleneck tech keeps evolving and we will be seeing some new interfaces in the future to keep up whether SATA based or not.
