Question There is only Intel RST premium, no AHCI mode

Hello, I have Asus G703GS laptop with samsung 970evo plus ssd, when i enter bios, sata configuration, there is only intel rst premium option to chose, no ahci. Samsung magician says ahci mode is deactivated, how can i enable it?

Sounds like you have Intel RAID mode controller on. AHCI and Intel RAID mode are non simpatico.

How so, when AHCI is a subset of Raid?

now, Magician and Raid mode might qualify. I haven't bothered testing with the latest versions to know if it works thru raid mode yet.

I'd be surprised if there was a laptop that was 100% 'RST or nothing'....

Search thru every BIOS option, I'd suspect there is bound to be a place for RST vs. 'non-RST/normal/AHCI, whatever they call it on your board within your BIOS)

Edit: I now can't WAIT to use 'non-simpatico' on a Facebook meme, stumping 99.9% of the populace!
