Question Thermal paste an issue?

So I have a little bit thermal paste here on the cpu.

And I am not sure if it is an issue or if I don’t have to worry.
Can the thermal paste cause damage?
CPU: Ryzen 5 7600
Thermal paste is the paste on the cpu cooler from amd that was in the cpu box

Yes, if it is electrically conductive (e.g some contain flakes of silver while others are liquid metal). However the default thermal paste included on AMD stock coolers isn't electrically conductive and there's no need to worry. Also, the excess that squeezed out won't be seen once you have CPU cooler installed.
