Thermal paste and installing a h100i gtx

hi, i have a question, i was putting a h100i gtx corsair closed loop water cooler and i put the block on the chip and the past smeared, and it fell off , so i put it back on again. and tightened the screws solid. Should i reply the thermal paste, and also should i use bought thermal paste instead of the paste that came on the block? i hooked everything up and the idle cpu temperatures are 20 c to 30 c varying slightly for each core. because of the connection miss the first time im actually scared to run tests. i know that if you had a old pump and install a new pump later , lets say 2 years you of course have to clean the chip and reply paste. so what should i do leave it or reply paste? it was only on and off for about 1 min.

Run test and monitoring temp, if temp low no need reply paste.

But if you search best result buy MX4 and drop center low paste not smeared.
