I was installing a new CPU heats ink and put too much thermal paste and now it leaked over the edge inot the CPU socket on my mobo and got on some cpu pins/ in the socket. My computer now gets no signal to my monitor. Wondering if they're related and if there's a fix. I have tested lots of things to figure out why I'm not getting signal, and I think it's this. I tested a different graphics card and lots of other things and still got no signal. So do I need a new mobo? Or would that not fix anything.

Solution
Definitely could be related. After all, the cause is likely you screwing a lot of stuff up!

First thing is first, disassemble and start from scratch , make sure to clean up your mess (and let the cleaning solution dry) before reassembling.
