:trophy: Welcome Lithium :trophy:

Hells no! Do I mind? We need all of the procs we can get.

If you need any help let me know (helping THGs folding team is my 5th job, too bad they don't pay me  )

Is this your first folding venture?

Why, thank you!

Yes it is my first time. I've read about it and have a fairly good understanding of it so, I figure I'd be your "virgin folder" LOL

Geez, for some reason, that just didn't quite sound very good 😳

Ok my advise is this go to Stanford's site and download the latest console version for your OS. You can also check for a name on the same page.
Here's a install walkthrough.
If you wanna see what they are doing grab a monitoring program off this site.

Good luck. Folding is great & welcome to the team again 😀

Edit: Damn you're quick LOL
Ok here's my favorite stats page
If you want a folding sig head over to DCsig their are a couple already made that are called "THG". Mine is "THG9" I had to edit it to fit the new sig sizes.

Top 10 reasons why you hang out on the Forums too much... people start asking you for permission to join the team :)

Hello Mr. Cunninglinguist (love the name  )

Mind if I fold for 40051? I've got three machines I can throw into the mix. Are you gonna need machine stats or does that really matter?

Welcome LithiumSunset!

LOL just thought it was funny Cunning, nothing bad meant by it.

Hey thanks man! Actually, hanging out here in the forums is kinda fun. Watching my machines churn out WUs is just as fun. Woo Hoo!

Glad to be a part of the team and look forward to adding more machines in the very near future. Provided that my local power company doesn't raise my bill any higher, i'll be fine.

Speaking of churning out WUs, I've somehow managed to finish 19 WUs since joining last week, which has put me at over 3000 points for the team! Swoot! Also, added a Xeon 1GHz, an Athlon XP 1800+, and a P4 1.5 to the mix over the weekend as well. By next week, I should have another 2600+ and another 1800+ up and crunching. Should be sweetness.

It is great to see so many new folders. The team needs it.

Stanford has been giving out crappy WUs lately (wait till one of you guys gets a DRGromac on a box with SSE2 😀, I creamed my jeans when my AMD64 managed to pump out p2390_Coiled coil for 1112.00 points in 3 days)
Everyone's production is down.

When I first started folding sjonnie was doing 4,000 a day.

EntityAnomly & I got into folding around the same time (don't tell him, but catching up to him is one of my motivating factors on this team).
So, I have purchased (well, bought and built) a dedicated folding farm; he has access to procs

@EA: I have twice as many machines as I'm running now; As soon as I get some time Your ass is Grass buddy.
I hope your consolation will be the knowledge that you motivated me to build the farm is the first

check this out real quick

I've been watching closely for the past few weeks. TSC! Russia & Netlink NCIX.com have been coming up quick.
It looked like we were going to be back down to 92 for a while.

Now, because of you guys, we'll be at 89 in less than a day and back to 90 in less than two weeks. Then their is no where to go but UP! My guess is that we'll be #75 in the world in three months.

BTW guys, if you haven't noticed, I like to link a lot, as in CLICK HERE, but they don't always show up well in the forumz:

Here's a game:

Sometimes it's hard to tell what is a link and what is not.

we're coming up to team latvia... 15.6 hours, just checked.... :)

are all gromacs core's good? i got a 20,000er this morning (p2107_lambda_5way_melt_4_10011), about 2647 through it...

BTW, where can we see exactly how many points we'll get for a project? or is it calculated when you send the results?

Thanks,
Ara

Hi. I would like to finally introduce myself. My name is Jeremy and I fold as BIGGER. We actually have 10 folding but 3 havn't reported yet. BIGGER is actually me and my dad. Also we are due for about 1200 points TODAY!

Welcome Tall Man/Bigger/Jeremy. Glad to see you join our folding team. My name is Jason, and I've been a member of the team for just over a week now. Glad to see more active people folding every day. I'm also working on one of the p2107_lambda_5way_melt_4_10011 WUs, though I am about 11k into it. I just wish I could monitor my remote systems progress through EMIII somehow...oh well. Good luck on all the folding.

according to stanford:

p2107 points 404, days 114 (days to deadline)
Linky

WOOHOO, we're gonna be rich (in F@H points 🙁 )

anyway, my other two computers aren't churning out much, laptop is having temperature problems (shutting down) so I had to limit processor usage to ~45%

other 600mhz is about 2/3 done with another P2107 (another gromacs) which is 10,000 frames, so i expect quite a bit in about 2 days

oh yeah, my name is Ara, i'm folding under AraH, that would be 3 computers

It's a good thing I just got done with a big project at work so now I can go back to folding. I had a couple HDDs crash on me so once I get them fixed I'll be back up and running. We'll see how your P3's do 😛

Motivation like that helps keep me motivated to not let you pass me. Can't have you thwart my hopes of being in the top 5.

Thanks dude!

It'd be awesome getting some more of those p2390_Coiled coil WUs I got 3 or 4 of them myself for like a week there. Helped my average a lot.

@TheTallMan - Welcome dude glad to have you folding with us.

Welcome to some of the others that have joined recently.(Don't want to miss anyone)

Most Gromacs are good, but the 20,000ers have been really sucky. Unfortunatly the lambda_5ways are only worth 404 points and take forever to complete.

404 is the most points i've seen since starting.... after all, i'm still at 751 points after 5 WU's i had some cool work unit's which i could finish most of in about 36 hours and they were worth something like 150 points each... good fun

Ara

Except it takes my machines almost 3 days to complete that 404 point WU when a couple of weeks ago I did some 1112 point WUs in a day or two. So using that comparison it kinda sucks.

Hey everybody, just thought I would introduce myself. I've been folding for a month or so now and like everyone else have been getting stuck with a bunch of gromacs. I go by the same name for F@H. Anyway, some friends and I run a LAN group at the university we go to and so I'm doing my best to get some more people on the team.

I have 3 comps running F@H pretty much 24hrs a day and plan on possibly adding 2 more. If I wasn't such a poor college student I would have probably set up a farm by now, but alas cash is in short supply.

I agree that the THG team can be in the top 75 within the next three months. It looks like we have a number of dedicated producers and growing everyday. I just hope we can get our own forum area and mabye find a way to advertise for our team a little more on the site.

now i just gotta hope my faster computer get's that one... (otherwise my other machines would take ages....)

Anyone know how to set up F@H so that it doesn't automatically send
results back to the server?

I am asking because I can likely install it on a few more computers at work, but were are behind a proxy server that monitors incoming and outgoing data, so if I could set it up to process the data and send it back manually, that would be ideal.

I know it has been done by past members on the team, so anyone with some info, that would be fantastic.

Well it depends on which client you are running(graphical/command line).

The graphical version is really easy you goto configure and there is a checkbox called "Ask before using network", which is self explanitory.

The console version you need to open a command prompt and run "FAH504-console.exe -config". When you run the config there is an option "Ask before fetching/sending work" and you need to set that to YES.

Edit: Page 35 here we come!

And they say there's not much to talk about regarding Folding.
In other news: I've got 3 153 point Ambers (Project 1808) all being submitted today. Plus my neighbor's PC should be submitting, and I should be seeing some WUs from my servers in Charleston before too long. I'm closing in on Top 100 Team Status pretty quick, can't wait to get there.

I joined this team back in January and I'm about to break into the top 50 in Team rank.

Given the epuipment some of you newcommers have I'm getting worried I'll be bumpped out faster than I got in.

It will be a bit dissapointing to get bumped back out but that is massivly outwiehged by the progress the team will be making for that to happen.

Welcome all, glad to have you. Starting to look like the team will definately get to top 75, lets aim for top 50.
