Core temp- 48c idle 62c load
temp1, 2, and 3 32c idle 47c load fan spd. 2350 rpm load running everest
Is that too hot and if so why cant i get the temp down? I have redone my Arctic 64 3 times. I hope i explained this ok? Any feedback or if you need more info feel free to let me have it !!!

You asked, so . . . If those are three hampsters running in a habitrail, I guess they're not only pretty hot but also annoyed at the three interruptions.

Maybe someone here will take the time to divine what you're running, what its running in, and what its running with.

Morphius, Neo, Trinity, have you seen the Oracle? May I please borrow someone's Crystal Ball or Ouija Board?

Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 is an AMD cooler... however...

Which processor?

Overclocked?

What frequency?

What Vcore?

At what ambient?

In what Case?

remotehugger, this is about specifications, so please be specific.

Phenom II 720 x3 2.8 overclocked to 3.2 with only a multiplier increase to x16. stock voltage at 1.39 as far as i can tell. Dont know ambient temp. Everest says mobo temp is 42c. Raidmax Smilodon case, cheap 500 watt psu, 120 fan in front, 120 exaust fan in back, psu fan,80 gpu fan and 80 side fan (mm of course) Hopefully this is O.K.

lower your voltage, stock voltage is 1.325v you should be able to reach 17.5 multiplier
with that voltage. turn off the side and the front fans the vacuum will do their work.
if u used a standalone thermal conductor, make sure u didnt put too much.
good luck

Son, that is damn hot, maybe you're doing it wrong...

My Phenom II 720 runs 30C idle, 45C load, with the crappy stock cooler... weird, i know...
and it's at 3.4 Ghz and 1.344 volt.

O.K. I havent touched the voltage so it may have done it by itself? I will put it back to 1.325 and do another stress test.Thank you. Its 2:32 am , im drunk so i will do it tomorrow. LOL thank you :)

I know. Is my cooler facing the wrong way or something? My Arctic 64 Pro has the fan facing the front of my case. I thought that was right. I dont know. I feel like a dumb ass !!!????:(

dunno, Pics would help...

and the cooler's own airflow has to be in conjunction with the other fan's airflow, maybe you faced it wrong and it's sucking in hot air instead?

like... you can go photobucket or the other various image hosting sites...

upload to those, and provide us the link to the pictures.

you have a camera or what? it depends, better not be cellphone...

you can upload pics, just upload image to a hoster like
http://www.imagehosting.com/

theyll give you a url fr forums, should start like [img

i like this one the best its simple, theyll give you a url

paste it to where u 1t the image

the air flowing out the freezer 64 should be going to your rear exhaust fan

Guys,

With the exception of different processor socket mountings, the ACF 64 Pro (AMD version) is identical to the ACF 7 Pro (Intel version). If you've owned or installed either of these models, then you know that it's not possible to incorrectly attach the fan / shroud assembly to the cooler, since the clips on each side of the assembly snap into grooves which are located only on the front of the cooler.

See for yourself; check out the images on Newegg of both models:

The fan was already attached. I thought i may have put it in facing the wrong way.

The fan intakes air from the front of the case, then exhausts through the cooler toward the rear of the case, which can easily be verified by just feeling the airflow. You installed the cooler correctly with front-to-rear airflow, so orientation is a non-issue.

Right now Everest says CPU 48c Cores 1,2, and three say 33c. It should be lower shouldnt it? I wonder if i used the MX-2 compound right ? I used a drop a little smaller than a pea. I might just do it again. i just dont get it.

Never assume that default temperatures are correct. Your CPU temperature is obviously wrong, since it must be lower than Core temperatures. CPU temperature is given a calibration profile in BIOS, which is encoded by programmers to include all processor variants for a given socket type, and is sometimes mis-coded. Not the first time, won't be the last. A BIOS flash might correct the that problem, but most likely won't be perfect. Regardless, SpeedFan allows calibrations of CPU temperature AND Core temperatures.

I will try that Hwmonitor right now. Thanks. Would a poor power supply cause my cpu to run hotter? I have a Raidmax 500watt psu that came with my Raidmax case but i just ordered an Ultra Lsp650. Maybe that will help ? I am going to reapply my thermal compound one more time when i put in the psu. Should be Tuesday. Any special way you all apply your thermal paste?

remotehugger,

Hardware Monitor does not allow calibrations.

Of the popular freeware utilities, SpeedFan allows calibrations of CPU temperature AND indicidual Core temperatures, while Core Temp allows only a single calibration for all Cores.
