Ok my first build in April, got me a 2070 Super 8Gb, white, love it. Got a deal only $500

So my first question is this. Is it worth selling if I can get $500 for it, and getting the RTX 3080?

What about the inevitable supers, TI, or whatever coming next year I assume.

Also, how much depreciation will be on my 2070 Super if I decide to sell, lets say next March or April. It is like new perfect, box and everything

I mean if I thought I could get $350 or more next year I would wait

Solution
Too early to tell.... Independent reviews are needed before anybody can give definitive advise here.

FWIW, 2080TIs are hitting eBay <$600, so ~$500 for a 2070S is unlikely at this point.

In terms of depreciation, nobody can say with certainty.
IF Nvidia's claim of 3070 > 2080TI proves accurate at $499 +/-, 2080TIs will struggle to justify even $400.... Everything below that will drop proportionately. I'm VERY doubtful you'd be able to sell a 2070S for anywhere close to $350 next year.

Thanks

I just do not get how the 1080 cards have held value like they have, yet the 2070 Super will be $300 next year. Kind of upsetting

Will have to wait becasue no way would I get a 3080 now when I know a super or something else will more than likely be out in May or June, am I wrong?

Can your current power supply handle the new demands that the 3080 will be putting on it? Having to replace your power supply AND your GPU may make the upgrade impractical if it's an older machine.
