Hey,
I'm thinking of overclocking my GeForce 2 Ultra.. What fans/sinks/etc should I use to ensure my $400 card doesn't go kaputz on me? Also, kinda a side-note.. What sort of fan do you suggest I use for OC'ing my 1.1GHz Thunderbird?

You really won't get much by overclocking your video chip, but you will by overclocking the video ram. Overclock the ram until it gets flakey running a test suite like 3D-Mark 2000, then back it down about 5MHz. If you want to increase cooling to get farther, try some ram-sinks. Get a Globalwin FOP-32 for your processor.

Suicide is painless...........

Flakey? (Ultra comes with RAM sinks)
Also, should I invest in a Blue Orb (Thermaltake's GPU fan/sink assembly).

Also, I was thinking of getting the Globalwin fan/sink assembly. So far it looks like everyone's given it good reviews. :)

As for my processor, I've contaced AMD (no reply yet) and I wanna send it in for a new one. It just shouldn't have an idle temperature of 100-ish Ferinheit (39-ish Celcius). Not to mention I shouldn't get the temperatures I do after gaming (130-ish Ferinehit!).

What is your processor clocked at? Is it the retail boxed version? That's about the average temp. for retail boxed Athlon's, unless it's like a 600 or something.

For the vid card try mounting a fan on the side of you case blowing on the card. I run 2 80mm or you could do 1 120. My card 32m gf2 runs 400 mem 235 core.

What kind of hsf are you using now? Those temps sound like they are about where they should be with a standard hsf, no reason to exchange the cpu.
