Well what?

Besides being so rude and demanding, you also seem to want help but don't ever even ask a question. For that matter all you have said is two sets of computer stats, as if just stating them would somehow make the world a better place.

We can't read your mind. You've given us absolutely no questions to answer nor information enough to answer them even if you had asked one.

I mean for all we know you need help figuring out who is buried in Grant's tomb.

If you wanted somebody to reply, ask a question or two.

DUD, no more INTEL fans here. AMD rules!!!

SORRY bud, but here is a suggestion

ABIT KT7A-RAID or ASUS A7M266
AMD T-B 1.2GHz
OCZ PC133/150 256mb or CRUCIAL 256DDR
ATI RADEON 32DDR <-------- Since you already have it
RAID IDE drive <IBM 7200rpm HD>
bla bla bla,......

yeah, get rid of the radeon. ati is going to be the next compost heap of a company nvidia will have to buy up. then one day, all the competition will be gone and we can worship the brilliance of nvidia.

First off...

I hate VIA !!!!! they never work right.

I have an AMD system K6-2 300 w/ 430tx. stable like a rock

If any one bought ATi it would be Intel not Nvidia.

i think that using a raid card, 3 scsi drives in a raid 5 configuration would be the safest method, if it is for server use. Or next best is 2 scsi drives mirrored. Personally i would go with Raid 5 anytime. As for which drives, thats personal taste i guess, but i favour IBM Ultrastar series.

i could get raid card + (4) 9gb 7200rpm ata66 and go raid 1+0. Well w/ my 18gb scsi it could be the fastest thing out.

Ick. Supermicro board? :/ I've heard bad things about that board. Check out the Abit VP6. Same features, just a better board. Plus you might want to look for windows 2k pro or adv for the system. it will run it better than NT 4.0. And dam it get rid of that raedon!

Its not just about speed. In the office environment, reliability is the MOST important issue. Go the proper recommended route SCSI raid 5. IDE/ATA raid drives will never match SCSI. Only SCSI can read and write at the same time. ATA raid will never match SCSI raid.....EVER!!
