Are the connectors on motherboard backplane always female or male? In this case ASRock B560m pro4.

Adapting to vga monitor from either Hdmi or Display port.

Female. Double check that your monitor doesn't have a DVI port. It is much better to adapt to DVI rather than VGA.

According to ASrock Techi the motherboard output is male. Don't have a Dvi on this Sanyo Tv/monitor.

Google "female HDMI". You will see that the pictures match the back panel of the motherboard.
