Using a rampage extreme (X79) and still wouldnt use this. Currently have 2x MSI lightning in it (they have the twin frozr coolers) and very happy with the temps and sound balance. Might add a third if it ever looks worthwhile. I like to keep lots of space around them and have room to access the other slots if I want. I try to avoid 3 slot designs completely. The MSI also have a self clean and switch on mode which seems to be helping. Personally hated the weekly strip down and clean I used to do on my old build so fitted the new cosmos tower with dust filters all round which is working really well. Quite shocking to see how much dust builds up on filters quickly but at least this way I just change them or vacuum them once a week.
 
Ugghhh, just make a miniature phase change system & you would hardly need any noise at all.

Your PC wouldn't whine anymore, it would just "Huuummmmm"
 
This would be nice with my side vent on my PC but I won't get it due to not needing that much power. I'll just get a 670 and call it a day.
