Can somebody explain to me how more intake than exhaust results in less dust build up inside computers? I would've thought that because there are more fans bringing more air into the case than out, that more dust would be brought into the case - but apparently the reverse is true. Could somebody please explain? I'm quite interested by this.

Solution
Intake fans are usually protected with a dust filter.

Having more exhaust means air is sucked in via whatever holes/vents/gaps there may be. Unfiltered.
