This is why AMD chose Tunisia.

Yeah, its amazing how even great actors cannot act in front of a blue screen and how much they need good writing and direction.

Sam Jackson couldn't stop smiling during filming as he was so excited just to be in star wars. Pretty sad, but it wasn't too out of place as even Portman was terrible in Star Wars.

Ep3 wasn't awful, but by then it was too late.

the prequels failures weren't the responsibility of the actors. i've seen all of the actors in the movie act well, the fault with the entire movie is that the directing and the script and the story was all bullshit.

lucas fucked the whole thing by himself.

the lines of dialog those actors were asked to act were bullshit... you can't act a shitty script well. it just isn't possible.

The first time i watched the movie, i thought to myself, why the fuck is the acting shitty throughout this entire film?

then after watching the clones, the sith, i realized something. the acting from all kinds of different actors is shitty throughout all 3 of the trilogies... wtf?

then i saw each of those actors act well in other films... then i realized something.

the problem wasn't the actors at all. it was george fucking lucas.

his script, his directing. the man is incompetent, and had far less to do with the original star wars trilogy than most people think.

lucas had all the money, all the digital effects, all the resources, any actors he wanted for star wars. it was entirely his fault. he should never have directed, and he should have allowed other people to edit his script, as they did in the first star wars....

so why did lucas take on more responsibilities this time? because he had the money and the recognition.

first star wars trilogy, he was forced to accept other people's input because he was a nobody. In this one, he had the power to make it whatever he wanted, he no longer had to listen to anyone else's opinion, and we got the bullshit of phantom, clones, and sith.

Now, where are the FREAKIN' BENCHYS??????????????

They are hiding, afraid to come out and face the light of day, lest they be seen for what they really are, ancient 3DFX cards that got dusted off and exported to Tunisia where the sand people won't notice the difference.

You gotta watch those Sand People. If they get pissed off at you, they can deliver a nasty zap with their Gaderffii. Maybe that's what happened to all the demo chips! Talk about static zap!

You guys got me so off topic i started doing searches for possible episode 7,8,9 in Star wars, i finally just finnished reading the wiki on Mark Hamil,

I totally agree. I just thinking (and meant) that the conditions were so stupid even great actors couldn't save the movies.

Sorry it didn't come out that way.

I'm sure acting in an empty room for almost an entire movie while being fed terrible lines was a nightmare for them. I don't blame them at all. (Other than that sh1t eating grin on Jackson's face in EP 1. That just didn't fit the scenes at all. But maybe he was really laughing at Lucas inside, rather than being so excited like he claims)

The stories were awful IMO. The cute disney feel of EP 1 made me so dissappointed. I'm not a huge star wars fan and that didn't help one bit.

Vader's backstory bugged me to no end.
The best bad guys in movies are the ones you hate through and through. They make you hate them so much you can picture yourself exacting revenge against them. Vader should have been evil from the time his was little. No cute little good boy gone bad. I admit it tied things together in a neat way, and explained his turning evil but then finally helping Luke - but I still don't like it.
