This morning I killed my computer

The story takes place yesterday, when my cat ate part of the wire to my mouse. The wire was damaged but it still worked, so I just bent the wire in a way that I could still use the mouse. Eventually it gave up and died. This morning, being a stubborn bastard, I attempted to get it to work again. I plugged the mouse into my motherboard's USB. My keyboard turned off, my monitor went black, and my cpu fan started going insane. I hit the reset switch, nothing. I held the power button down for 10 seconds. Nothing. I unplugged the cable from the wall. Plugged it back in, and now it wont turn on. So I went out to the store and bought a new PSU, and it still does not turn on. What are the chances that everything in my computer just died?

No the motherboard is definitely dead. It isn't even booting with the new PSU. How likely is it that I killed everything?

So what your saying is I might not completely be fucked? The motherboard is pretty dead. The psu might be.

i5 4690k, 16GB ram, Corsair CX 430 PSU (probably dead), MSI CSM-B85M-E4 (definitely dead), RX 480 (If thus is dead I will cry).

Already started, got a new PSU and ordered a new motherboard.
