Oh please...like Steve would ever do something like that himself. He'd hire assassins, of course. They'd likely eviscerate you with over-the-top-but-gorgeous techniques. If and when the police came knocking he'd try to claim your disappearance was "magical."

Kidding aside, Ballmer would be more fun to have around. Jobs is kind of compulsive- the family probably has to pressure him to take a vacation, and even if he does he's probably spending every spare moment coming up with marketing strategies and such.

How much did that machine cost?

What Belardo listed will handle general usage and light-to-moderate gaming (depending on title, obviously we're not talking Crysis here 😛 ) for under $550.00. Most users don't need what enthusiasts demand, and I'm guessing he's not building these machines for high-end gaming performance.

$800ish

The $550 - 1200 price range is hardly what I would call an enthusiasts build. I didn't build it for high end gaming shit at the time it was mediocre compared to what was the best then and now (i7). I just don't see the point of building a crap machine then saying windows was the most expensive item in a homebuilt computer. that's like saying your 24" rims cost more on your crappy Chevrolet caprice well no shit...
