Hi,

1.Philips The One PUS 8848 (Direct led) 120hz Price 1079 Euros

2.Sony Bravia X75WL (Direct led) 60hz Price 1199 Euros

3.Samsung Q77C(Edge led) 120 hz 1299 Euros

Whats your thought on these tv:s under 1300 euros and in 75". Our budget dont expand to the Sony X90L so we narrowed it to these alternatives (cheapest ones). The usage is 60% movies/series from usb/streams/bluray and 35% sports from streams and 5% gaming.

Biggest concern is backlight bleed, screen uniformity, black levels and smootheness (I hate any kind of jitter). We usually also view in complete dark room the movies, and sports in bright daylight. Would the philips/samsung 120hz panel add any benefits compared to the 60hz Sony panel. Could the Sony 60hz panel cause 24p jitter ?

That be a much much better deal than X75L or even X80L yes it is previous year model but is a good Level up and comes with top of the line XR Processor.

In general I would stick to Bravia's.

Make sure you check how big the internal storage is. I bought a bravia (not the most super expensive one) and I was furious to find it only has 4gb. It is constantly slow, stuffs up etc, needs rebooting.

I had no idea it would be soo lame on such an expensive tv.
Adding ext storage/expanding the internal drive just does not work as they don't let you move any of the apps that really matter.

Do you really need such a large TV? If you went slightly smaller you could get a better one?
Besides the smaller the TV, usually the better the image.

Also, hunt around for a while to get an even better tv second hand. Try to get one that's fairly recent if you can.
Everyone's flogging their TV's now as they just upgraded for xmas.
