i was just wondering what people thought of this build, approx cost is about $1400 AUS dollars (keep in mind parts in Australia are significantly more expensive than elsewhere)
i plan to use this PC for both gaming (especially FPS e.g. call of duty and battlefield) as well as a media pc, i also wish it to be fairly silent
the components are:
- Intel Core i5 4690K
- MSI GTX 770 Gaming Edition 2GB
- ASUS Z97M-PLUS Motherboard
- Kingston Hyper X Fury 8GB
- Corsair RM-650 80 Plus Gold Power Supply
- Cosair Carbide Air 240 (soon released, dont hate please 😛)
- Samsung 840 EVO Series 250GB SSD
- Seagate Barracuda 2Tb Hard Drive
as you can see, the build doesnt have a CPU cooler yet, as due to the form factor of the case the cheap but effective Coolermaster Hyper 212 EVO wont fit as height is restricted to 120mm 🙁 what is a good alternative? i would prefer a cheaper cooler as i wont be overclocking too much but if someone puts up a good argument ill consider a closed loop liquid cooler 😛 being a quiet cooler would also be a bonus!
