Hi everyone, I am going to be building my first gaming pc soon and I would like to run most games maxed out on a single 1080p monitor. Here is my rig: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/xvinity/saved/JYkWGX

I just have a couple of concerns:
-Would a 24in. monitor be too large for gaming? 21in or 24in.
-Should I get the corsair 550d or 650d. Is the corsair 550d large enough for sli?
-Is my motherboard "good"?
-Is it future proof?

Thanks

1. 24 inches is the perfect size too me
2. The 550d should accommodate SLI just fine but if you want a bigger case the phanteks enthoo pro is a great full tower for the price. I would also check out the new fractal define r5.
3. Yes it's a good motherboard.
4. Future proof is always hard to tell, but it should last at least a few years, especially the CPU.

A few suggestions. Get ram that matches you're color scheme(so blue or black). Also you can save some cash on the SSD by getting the 840 evo instead but that's totally up to you.

24" is great.

I'm certain the 550 will sli - no need for a huge case.

I like asrock but would get an extreme4 to overclock.

No such thing as future proof.

I'd get low profile ram as that might interfere with the cooler fan.

No need to pay for 840 pro - drop the hdd completely and get a 250gb 840/850 evo.

Which psu?

No monitor is larger for gaming...
24" wil b a good choice.
Mobo might not b futureproof since intel changes sockets with every new gen of cpu.
The height of ram may interfare with that noctua cooler, so go for small heighted dimms.
550d will support 2-way sli without any problem.
Other is pretty good except the dvd writer. Go with an asus or hp writer instead of that crappy samsung writer...
Good luck building new rig...
Dnt 4get 2 select d bst answer...
