Im currently planning on building a pc around the requirments for project sheild? (Building it after summer so if they change the requitments I will change my specs)

My build

Motherboard: gigabyte skt 1155

Cpu: intel core i5 3570k

Gpu: nvidia geforce gtx 650 ti (maybe boost if the budget can get it!)

So tell me about estimated price, thoughts and opions, thanks

Avoid Gigabyte motherboards. They don't overclock well, have bad UEFIs, and don't have any customer service to speak of.

Also, you're going to want to upgrade your budget a little bit and put more into your graphics card. A 660 should be the bare minimum, I think.

For a z77 chipset, the AsRock z77 Extreme 4 is an excellent option.

Personally, I'm not that interested in project shield, since I much prefer both keyboard and mouse, and PC graphics... If it could give decent-quality gameplay over ethernet at a LAN party, now then I'd be more interested in it. As is, there's nothing it gives that plugging an xbox controller into my computer can't do better.
