If you are wanting to concentrate on saving money with best performance then an SSD is a big waste of money. There is no need for it. All Hard drives and Solid state drives do is load data, after that it's all in RAM and the speed of the drive means nothing for gaming.
SSD's are purely luxury. All they do is save some loading time (or a great deal too). If time is money then that's a different story.
Now if you want fast boot ups with large capacities then get a Seagate Momentus Hybrid drive. You'll have all the major benefits of an SSD for commonly used programs, a 30 second boot at most (I average 25-30 seconds) and it will cost you $100 for over 1TB so the price is VERY good for what you get.
