The idea is to keep it under $2,500. I figured waiting it out until GPU prices are back to normal, but I don't know how long that will be. Any thoughts or comments are appreciated! I did find a 2070 super for around 1k so I think that will put me in the ballpark.

NVMe SSD instead of SATA.

Possibly SATA SSD instead of mechanical drive. Depends on what you are using it for, I suppose. But even really crappy SSDs are faster than hard drives for the most part.

CPU cooler is a little light if you plan overclocking and such, also not the quietest.

Looks fine other than the cpu you have in there is an unlocked cpu meant for a Z490 board.

The only reason I went SATA SSD over Nvme is because of the test performance benchmarks it isn't enough for the extra money, especially when trying to get it around/under $2,500 total.

I also did not even realize I put the 10600K, I swapped it over to the i5-10400 since the person I am building this for most likely will not OC it. I use the cooler master evo in my personal system and have noticed similar temps between that and some closed-loop water coolers. Any recommendations on CPU coolers?

Edit: Why_Me linked one that I did not see my initial time searching for an nvme, I swapped it out.

Mostly gaming, I believe.

Possibly streaming at one point, but I am sure the person will use it primarily for gaming. The monitor is 1440p which is why I wanted to go with a 2070 S, I found one for $1k which puts the total price around $2,500, although I feel like it would be better to wait until GPU prices are stable and things are in stock so that the individual can spend more on the rest of the system instead of blowing half of the budget on a GPU.

Go with a 11th gen such as the 11400F/11400 + B560 board that goes head to head with the 10600 for cheaper. btw the CM EVO 212 will work fine for that build as long as he doesn't intend to turn off the power limiter in the bios in order to gain more FPS. If he does that then he wants a better cpu cooler.

I actually like the 212 heatsink, just not the fan's noise profile. I ran one with two Corsair SP120 strapped to it and it was quite excellent at dealing with an overclocked 4770k. Any high quality static pressure fan makes a good pairing with it.
