Harry,
I've had Ti4200 (64) from ABIT with the OTES (outside thermal exhaust)for the past year that has performed quite well. You may wish to look into their card. Sorry I can't comment on the other brands. More importantly, if you wish to play current games with DX9 you should look into an ATI card (as opposed to nVidia) as they seem to perform better. Many people recommend the 9600pro

Thx for the reply,
but the problem is tht i am on a limited budget and to
make things worse i am loacated all the here in indai
where a ti 4200 retails for 200 $,
a 9500 pro for arnd 250 $ ,
so theres nothing much i can do abt it

i cud really appreciate if some one could shed some light
over this :)

i ve never been more confused in my life
i have got this locl dude sellling this card.....

Brand new Sapphire 9600 np
It includes tv-out, DVIout, with s-video cable, and driver cd.AND also 1 yr global warranty worth 10$

so what shoukd i do......
1> go look for a 9500 np and mod it to 9500 pro
2> Go for a ti 4200
3> take the 9600 np

all the card above have the same rates *apparently*

one more thing all 9500 can be modded to 9500 pro's or only
the ones with L shaped memory.

I guess i m delayin the purchase by a few days

Captain Obvious recommends the R9600pro!
Best bang for you buck, DirectX9 compatibility and overclock potential!

Pass that [-peep-] over here d00d, I need some now! 9500 non-pro and 9500 Pro also support DX9.

Any 9500 has the potential to be modified. The ones with the L-shaped RAM modify to 9700 non-pro standards. The ones with the standard memory modify to 9500 Pro standards.

9700 non pro performs better than 9500 Pro. Hence people look for the L-shaped memory.

KEEP IN MIND the failure rate of the 9500-to-PRO mod is about 50%.

You can still overclock if the mod fails, though.
