Hi,

I had created a backup .TIB file for my old 256gb ssd, keeping that backup file on an external hard drive. I recently purchased a 512gb ssd, and am looking to "recover" that .TIB file to my new ssd. I don't have any issues booting into acronis' (2012) recovery manager, and I'm able to find the .TIB file, but each time I recover it to the new ssd, it's not bootable.

Did I falsely assume this would bring the boot file, hidden partitions, etc (I know there was a 100mb Fat32 part). I'm not entirely sure what I'm doing wrong. Unfortunately, I don't have the 256gb ssd to do a direct clone, only this backup file.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Apparently I just needed to set my BIOS boot option as "Legacy AND UFEI (or whatever)"....it was just set to "UFEI" and wouldn't ever boot. Acronis was able to recover the entire partition flawlessly. AWESOME.
