Question Time to Start Over

So, from what I can gather, I'm going to have to start over on a new build. This kind of breaks my heart because my PC is still running good, but it is slowing down, making noises, and will in no way be able to handle new games such as Elder Scrolls 6 and allow me to continue streaming and editing videos. With that being said; where do I start?

My current PC was built using a barebones kit purchased from Tiger Direct. The specs are as follows:
  • Cougar Solution Black Steel Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - 1x120mm Cougar Turbine Hyper-Spin Bearing Fan, USB 3.0 port, Water Cooling Ready, Supports 320mm Long VGA Card, Air Filter Included
  • AMD FX-8350 Processor - 8-Core, Socket AM3+, 4GHz, 8 MB L2 Cache, 8 MB L3 Cache - FD8350FRHKBOX
  • Gigabyte AMD AM3+ Motherboard - ATX, Socket AM3+, AMD 970/SB950 Chipset, 2000MHz DDR3, SATA 6.0Gb/s, RAID, 7.1 Channel Audio, Gigabit LAN, USB 3.0 - GA-970A-DS3P
  • Seagate Desktop Solid State Hybrid Drives - 1TB, 8 GB NAND Flash, 3.5 in, SATA 600, Internal - ST1000DX001
  • Samsung 24X DVDRW Internal Drive - SATA Interface, 0.75 MB Buffer, 48X CD-R, 12X DVD+/-RW, 40X CD-RW - SH-224DB/RSBS
  • Cooler Master - Hyper 212 EVO Universal CPU Cooler - 120mm Fan With PWM, LGA 1366, 1156, 1155, 775, FM1, AM3+, AM3, AM2+, AM2 - RR-212E-20PK-R2
  • Elgato Game Capture HD60 Pro
  • Intel Gigabit CT PCI-E Network Adapter EXPI9301CTBLK
  • Seasonic S12II 520 BRONZE, SS-520GB Power Supply
  • 2 of Kingston HyperX FURY 16GB Kit (2x8GB) 1866MHz DDR3 CL10 DIMM - Blue (HX318C10FK2/16)
How much of this can I reuse? How much is pretty much useless at this point? The initial build cost me around $700. Anything I purchase now will have to come from Amazon so that I can make payments.

You could've continued the conversation on your previous thread, here.

How old is the PSU? You could reuse it for a new build on a concurrent platform but you're going to have to disable C6/C7/deepsleep options in the BIOS due to the construction of the PSU. If it's as old as your system...then I'd look into a new PSU as well. You could salvage the SSHD and the cooler(perhaps) but that ends there.

You might want to also look through this thread and followup with necessary information to get a more tailored response.

Sorry, but there are no upgrades significantly worthwhile on AM3/AM3+, and a new system will require DDR4 anyway....

Relegate the current system to NAS duties, and plan your X570/B550 , DDR4, and Ryzen 5 3600+ upgrade path within two months...

(What GPU were/are you using?)

GPU, not CPU....video card?

(For instance, if you had been playing games for a few years on a cheap GT710, or GTX460, and struggling mainly over GPU inadequacy in gaming, you might be happy for several months with a GXT1050, etc..)

If you had been on a GTX960 or above, then you were likely CPU limited even at 1080P...)
