I bet not a lot of people own a gaming pc (laptop) on linux. My dell G5 557 was with linux but with the pc knoledge of my dad who always knows what to do , he bought windows and i told him not to buy a laptop with linux because i knew i was going to have problems...
In the lines of 130C Cpu and eighty7 gpu.
from the pure anger i got when i was playing fortnite and got the performance of a mid range calculator.... and smashed my keyboard because of the intellegence of my dad.(and lost my eight ;()
So im thinking of switching to linux to make a test of how its going to run
im wondering if i can backup my drives and if i dont like linux i can switch to win like nothing happaned,
Also would love some tips because i have used linux only when i first booted the laptop (20 mins)

Start with Ubuntu and not like old days now we do have a decent GUI with most of those Linux distros . So no need of deep learning about any basic commands if you only wish to stay on linux just for troubleshoot. Try something like dual boot instead where you can still have both OSs and also the ability to choose which one to open at the start.

Anyway i can't find that model with Linux installed.. Dell is only offering W10 at the moment... Can't guaranteed about the driver compatibility.

No actually my mistake they do offer an Ubuntu version of that Laptop but with same specs. Running windows on it will not be a problem. But can you make a full description of the hardware you have?

Have you installed those nvidia drivers for that 1050ti properly... seems like this is where you having the problem.
Try reinstall them ... wipe them out with DDU.
