Hello everybody,

I'm planning on building my first PC sometime this summer. As of right now I have a budget of around 1400 -1700 dollars or so, and I do not need to get a monitor. I plan on going with a Ryzen 1600/1600x, and either a gtx 1080 or Vega equivalent if the price is right.

I would like to incorporate RGB into my PC build. I don't want to go overboard, and would like to be able to control at least the majority of the lights through software. Does anyone have experience using something like Corsair or NZXT Hue controls, or even Asus Aura experience? What are your favorite parts, or even regrets of going with an RGB build?

Cheers

First Vega isn't coming out anytime this summer.

Asus STRIX are probably your best option imo. I am a huge Asus fan. I have an MSI non-rgb build myself (Asus was too expensive). But with your budget, you should be able to get in the Asus Strix. There is a very good case on offer @Amazon right now. I have helped others make builds with it and it looks great. SEE HERE. I like the MSI because of their msi mystic light feature. It syncs your GPU, mobo and an rgb strip together. Asus has a similar feature in their mobos. So I would say stick with either of the two.

Cheers.

Dang man well I guess I'll have to wait till 1080 prices drop to their normal rates if Vega is so late. And yeah with that Aura software you could also sync up some RGB RAM and other things that could be pretty sweet. Any recommendations on parts that are Asus Aura compatible?

Thanks

Of course we can add a 960 M.2 ssd and get a better rbg fan, but this I think is a great build to start with.
