Toaster burns bread

I have a toaster that constantly burns the bread. I can't even use it on the lowest setting without my break coming out charred. Does anyone know what my problem is? I have a Mr. Toaster Q-13C. I've been to the website, looked for new drivers, all that kind of stuff. Maybe my power supply is too powerful? I can't stand it, someone help me out.

Have you emailed their tech support?

Yes, and they keep saying maybe I'm not using bread that's compatible with their toaster. I checked the compatibility list though, and my bread is on it.

Try hooking up a more powerful fan. Or perhaps apply some more thermal grease to your bread.

Hmmm...I've got a good heatsink on it, but the fan is kind of wimpy. I smeared butter all over it before putting it in, so that should've helped.
Maybe I could just leave the side off the toaster?
How about water cooling the bread?

Think you might need a nitrogen cooling system, seeing the severity of this problem.

Ahh. Thats the problem. You can't smear butter on your bread before toasting. The bread is supplied with an inbuilt set limit of cooling and additional cooling nullifies the effect of this.

I've tried it with and without butter.

Nitrogen? There's already nitrogen in there. All over the place, swirling around and- oh, you mean liquid nitrogen? Hmm...I might have to try that.

It sounds like you have the voltage in your toaster set to the wrong stepping. If you open it up and adjust the stepping, then the variable voltage adjustment on the front of the toaster should be more applicable to your bread and you shouldn't be burning it anymore.

Appearantly when a lot of those toaster models were first produced, they were set to use the base voltage for the older bread type. So when you put the latest bread in that doesn't require as much voltage, it burns it up. There was supposed to be a BIOS update that fixed this, but it turns out that most of the toaster manufacturers actually hardwired the setting, never expecting any other type of bread to come out. So now most people have the misfortunate of having to crack their toaster open to adjust this base voltage for the bread stepping.

Make electricity write in the dirt, it’s magic. Make it write on your monitor, it’s science.

Ok, I tried the liquid nitrogen and changed the voltage. But now the bread is coming out damp and untoasted. I CAN'T TAKE THIS ANYMORE!!!
I might have to break down and buy a new toaster...

The bread thickness so I believe is thinner than previous versions and requires less power!

Which operating system for your toaster are you using? Did you download teh critical burning patch? That may help. A peltier may fix teh problem. Of course Freon is good too.

Nope, I've used all kind of break thicknesses and alternate cooling.

Where is the patch? I've been trying to fix this for months now 🙁

Oh did I mention our power supply is 240volts!

And use bread with the grainy bits in it, takes longer to toast..

Hmm...I might try that. I've only been using Sourdough before now...

Oh no! Sourdough is known to have problems with that toaster! Why, the whole TKernel of the toaster's operating system fails when you use Sourdough bread!

And their tech support didn't even know that? That really pisses me off. Ok, looks like the problem is fixed, thanks all :)

You guys are either high tech criminals talking in code, or that was the most retarded thead I ever read!
Either way . . .good job.

We are NOT criminals talking in code. So DON'T call the FBI 😉

I think your second guess was about right.

Don't fret about it. You were a mere child then but now you're all grown up!

 <b><font color=blue> I took an I.Q. test today...It came back negative.</font color=blue></b>

I noticed it. I just thought you were being suave and it was your "cool" word for breakfast.

Silly me.
