A while back I added a new hard disk to my old computer to install steam games on, short story: I managed to fry my psu and had to downgrade from a Radeon HD 7870 to a Geforce GTX 610, lets just say I didn't play those games.

This is an embarrassing matter for an Android mod (by flashing QHSUSB_DLOAD) who constantly risks losing money by flashing in deep levels of the phone firmware.

I bricked an Intel motherboard (DQ45CB) in attempt to downgrade... Aargh! Now I'll have a hard time play ANY game. HD 3000, while still decent, doesn't cut enough butter. Thanks for awful BIOS updates... Intel.

some 7 years agor i was very young and i had a pc, i was thinking that i know everything about PCs. then i have bought some ram modules from a person that i found in a ecomerce website, i have bought the ram and when i come home the ram modules were not fitting in my mobo 🙁. i have then contacted the seller and the phone number that he had was not working 🙁

oh, i was in the 9 class and i have for the first time tried the computer. the computers were not having a mouse at those times. then i was using the keyboard to play a game, there i had to jump something. i dont already remember very well how the game was, but i enjouyed so much that game that i considered that day as one of my best days in my life. after playing that game at computer, i was always trying to go to the computers room and play that game, i enjouyed so much computers that i am novadays a computer scientist :)

Before I built my first PC I did tons of research, watched tons of videos about how to put it together, and I was totally prepared!... Then I put the CPU cooler on sideways 🙁 Had to take it apart and clean off the thermal paste and so on. Computer worked perfectly at the end of the day though, that's all that matters. :)

Way back, when I was still a noob, I "modified" our family pc: 1.8Ghz dual core and 1Gb RAM and who knows what sorry excuse I had for a GPU that I got second hand for dirt cheap. I was super excited to lan some CoD with my best friend. So I went to the flea market, got a ethernet cable and plugged in. After struggling for 2-3 hours we finally figured out that I had bought the wrong cable. It turns out I bought a telephone cable. No lan for us! D: Next weekend, back to the flea market bought a proper lan cable, get home, struggle for another 2 hours. This time it turns out I bought what I though was the proper cable. It had the same head, RJ45 size but was missing the connectors. UTTER DISSAPOINTMENT!

Last attempt: This time I went to a real store and double checked I bought the proper cable AND got it at less than half price. Now I get home let mu friend know he can come over. He tells me he's not coming because of what happened. I had no choice but to gate crash his home. In the end, we played CoD till 4am.

a few years back............

Minecraft just came out in alpha..... so i got a copy because i saw it was catching on like wildfire in the gaming community...
first day in minecraft. I go up to a tree. left click. i hit it. left click again. another hit. for 10 to 15 minutes i kept hammering left click. i was raging hard. why wont this tree break. how does one simply get wood in this game. another 5 min of furiously left clicking. no luck.

Rage quit.

about 30 minutes later, no i wont let this game the better of me!
( quick lookup on YouTube about Basic minecraft controls )

#facepalm. HOLD in left click.... don't continuously click it.
worst fail ive had.

in 1999 i was working in a office as an technician and the computers from there have been stolen, from some tables the monitors have not been stolen, and then i receive a call saying that the computer is not turning on... well, i got to that person and explained what happened, aparently that person has not seen that the tower was not there :)

My failure is that I recommended 4GB of RAM to someone

The thing is I haven't gotten the chance to build my own pc yet since I'm always on the move so I get a laptop, not only that but I don't usually play online. So basically my life is not interesting at all.

Hi,

I once owned GTA San Andreas on pc a very long time ago. In the installed folder there were lots of files like anime, audio, misc. To me all this were weird so I cut pasted every single file to a new folder so that's just one folder and boom it didn't work. Had to re install.

Oh!!! I was a 10 year old child then. LOL

We had a thunder storm pass over, I thought everything would be ok as I had surge protection built into the mains adapter so I continued to play Destiny, believing that my luck would hold out. There was an almighty bang, and in an instant the tv went off, as did my brand new ps4. I could smell electrical smoke. It turns out that the lightning had struck the telephone mast a few yards away which took out my router and everything that was plugged into it. An LG smart TV, Playstaton 4 console and my laptop, which developed a wireless problem just a couple of weeks earlier so was using a LAN cable also. I was not able to replace my stuff yet, but I have saved enough for a pretty high end gaming pc now. It will have a wireless card!!
