AMD Phenom II 1055t
ASUS M4N75TD
Noctua nh-d14
8GB DDR3 1600MHz
GTX 460 Sonic Platinum
Corsair 750w

When I build my new system in about 1 month I will get a new case and sort it all out lol ;0)

This build has made me hate computers lol. Had my fair share of BSODs and the worst yet, my pc wont wake up out of a sleep state thanks for the guys over at asus which make nice and unstable bios's. Lol! Thats another reason for a new build. Intel 2600k should beast upon my 1055t or it should!

Yeah, I do video editing so going to be getting a SSD, New Case, and 2600k so excited lol ;0) Superclocked GTX 460 I believe will do me for another 3 - 6 month I hope...

Hi this is my build.

Whats inside:

CPU: AMD PHENOM II X6 1100T @3.75 GHZ
GFX: AMD RADEON HD 6950 2GB @ 860/1400
MB: MSI 990FXA-GD80
PSU: Corsair GS 800W
HDD'S: Seagate Barracuda. X3 (no raid)
BDR:Samsung DVD±RW/Blu-Ray Reader SH-B123L
RAM: 8 GB OF DDR3 AT 1333 MHZ

thats it for now.

i think il upgrade the mobo for something more stable and then the psu to modular and the gfx cards to 7970's or singe 7990.

and the case is the xigmatek esylium. THIS THING IS MASSIVE!!!! even the sr2 fits easily in there!!

i am going to clean the cables when i get the modular psu. gonna be future proof so i think it will be around 1000W.

And my mobo is at service beacuse that one is defect. ive heard alot of people hawing the same problem whit same mobo. i think msi screwd up alittle here.

so atm my pc is in all parts out and gonna rewire the thing when i get my mobo back and might change the placement of the cards. for more airflow for eatch. the one on the top is 10-20C hoter than the one under.

and i will buy the psu when the 7k series is realesed.

any tips of whats best? 7990 or 7970 x2?.

i might ust keep the gfx cards and put it in my lower end pcs and only buy a single 7970.. what seems most reasonable?

With sli/crossfire the top card is always hotter than its twin, less cool air getting to it,
There are pro and cons for the card options listed but heres not the place, do a new thread outlining your plans and we can start a convo in there,

Sorry, no internal shots for now. I'm at work and apparently I forgot to upload those before I left. Most of the parts I got on or around Black Friday for pretty good deals. Overall I'm pretty happy with it, I haven't overclocked it yet, but I plan to. It has performed flawlessly thus far, including running Skyrim, SWTOR, and BF3 at full settings.

I agree with moto about the CPU cooler, but the side without the fan looks concaved.

The MSI board has 4 PCI-E x16 slots, so you should have the room to leave space between the cards. It should bring down the temps for the upper card. Try using the second and bottom x16 slots.

Both sides are concave I believe, just the fan covers it up,
and yeah, if those slots are all x16, make some space between the cards, you can get longer crossfire tabs so thats an option right there to cool the cards a touch more

both sides are concave. and no. not all is x16 (atleast not this one hawe. it stood in the manual that one was x8 or x4) only the number 3 from the one thats on the top going down.

and it suports 3x sli/xfire but i dont hawe the xfire cable to put it further down though a sli cable that was around 5" came along whit the mobo(kinda sucks that a xfire cable didnt come too)

where can i get a longer xfire cable? i live in Norway so newegg is uselesss to me :bounce:

and what do you think about the cable management and other stuff? anything i coud do better?

http://www.amazon.com/ATI-CrossFire-Interconnect-Bridge-Connecctor/dp/B003NLGR7I is what your'e after, I'm not sure of Norwegian vendors though so i'll leave the searching part to you 😛

As for cables... 😛
Hdd's flipped round so connectors feed through the front of the case,
20+4pin routed through big hole above where it currently is,cable tie it to the tray to keep from flapping,
and a couple of holes inside the mobo boundary to tuck your front panel/usb/audio cables into so they loop under the mobo and through the tray,
not sure on the top cables I can see, need better pic to assess those I think
should be a start though hehe
