Tom's Hardware Registered Users: Account Upgrades Coming, Please Confirm Email Addresses

Toms sent an email about this ... Apparently unaware that its a bad security practice to email people asking them to click a link and reenter their passwords ...

I was offended enough not to do it (if you are this dumb, why renew?). At least you finally posted it in a public, appropriate place.
 
So how do I change my email address if the current email address listed for my account has changed ? The old email address no longer works.

I see no options in profile to change it.
 


There is currently no way to change your email address, but this is only a temporary restriction so that we can ensure the transition to the new login system goes smoothly. We are expecting that option to be restored towards the end of the month or early next month. Apologies for the inconvenience.
 
Well this is completely terrible. I can log in with Edge, but not with Firefox. If I try with Firefox, I'm prompted to select a new username. And I got a welcome email pointing me to forums@tomshardware.com for support; when I sent an email to that address, it bounced. GG
 


I just attempted to log in on Firefox with 2 different accounts and had no issues. Will look into this. That email address may be inaccurate though. Will let you know as soon as I learn anything.
 
I am changing internet providers and do not know if you will allow me to change my email address before you that option to happen before my address will no longer be good. This seems pretty dumb to restrict my ability to change when you are trying to confirm. You have confirmed an address that will go away but not the correct one!
 


Well, we couldn't have predicted that you wanted to change internet providers, now could we? 😛

As I stated earlier, the current inability to change your email address is only temporary. This will be re-enabled soon, most likely some time next month.
 


I may not get the email as I am changing pretty soon
