And any single or lightly threaded application that's CPU dependent at all, will create a bottleneck with a more powerful GPU creating a situation where you'll see a loss of frame rates because the CPU can't keep up.

Extreme is higher settings, btw....causing lower frame rates, and actually supports what I've been saying. Putting more stress on the GPU, takes the onus off of the CPU, and will create a situation where the CPU doesn't matter much.

Run it on 1080 basic or 720 low and test again. I guarantee there'll be a difference between the two systems.

At -40, it's more than likely DICE.

LN2 would be much colder.

Unless the temp sensor is incapable of reading temps below -40c.....which I find unlikely.

LN2 cools down to around -196c, not -40c. Boot temps with LN2 are around -170c. As I said....it's more than likely DICE, as it gets down to about -80c.

I've seen core load temps of -18c with just a chiller.

I've gotten -4C on my CPU just bu putting my PC in my window.

The EVGA GTX 1080Ti's temperature sensor can only go to -40C.

And it was the same Kingpin on the leaderboard there.

Good to know. I've never cooled below that. I'd also have to guess it's not a KPE. The Kingpin Edition cards are made specifically for LN2 cooling. I would imagine they have sensors that can read below -40c.

Interesting, why would uh...Kingpin...use a non-KPE card? ahhaha

Please please for the love of my mouse wheel stop with the multiquotes. I have a 32" 1440p monitor and my finger is tried from scrolling on this page. :heink:

Just to add,i realized photo bucket wouldnt 3rd party my pic,it was 4125,you guys are way above,i thought it would be kool to just check, but that was stock, untweaked,im happy, the evga gtx 1080 ftw 2 is a nasty card,im sure the TI'S wil be even nastier...i dont even need to OC the stock OC...its says 1.8, but im playing a game that doesnt need that much and i seen it at 2.2....its a ridiculous card

Anort, just use Middle Click...

I already added your score. Use Imgur or postimages.org.

Also, the moderators are aware, but the users are not, I started a CPU benchmark thread over in the CPU subforum, I look forward to having another table to maintain.

i have a 27 inch asus rog pg279q swift so i win! Thank you for the other 3rd party sites, never used imgur, pretty kewl!Lighten up man,i think this thread got you stressed with the maintenance lol https://imgur.com/Fhv8jVs

Very nice numbers, but i thought the rules were to not overclock,im not bangin you by no means, just if you do it,can i OC bit to get some numbers too? i have great cooling ,so i have a lot of headroom

You have to use the 1080P Extreme Preset or it doesn't count.

Overclocking is allowed, nowhere does it say its not allowed. If you overclock and you get like only a 50 point increase it doesn't count. 200 points, otherwise its basically a margin of error increase.

No, it needs to be 1080p Extreme, but nice try.

Please read the rules entirely. Your score will not be added until we can confirm you're not cheating, you've tried multiple times with "custom", etc. Your score will remain the same until then.

He's more than welcome to add a normal 1080p Extreme score like I said, and since he hasn't replied to my comment he clearly has no interest.

You can go ahead and delete him if you want, he won't be coming back, and he is no longer welcome to Tom's.

Hahaha what did he do?

When you are warned about derailing threads with useless posts and ignoring the rules (here and elsewhere on Tom's) replying to the moderator calling him various names and 4 letter words brings your posting career here to an end.

Oh dang, that's intense.

I'll bedoing another run with my R9 280x to see if it can get 200 marks higher, last run it got to 95c inducing some throttling.
