Ok, I built that here: http://www.cyberpowersystem.com/system/ultra8500.asp?v=d
After removing the monitor from the configurator thing, and tweaking the components to the ones listed above, it comes out to $774. Now, when I built it under another model there, but with the same EXACT specs, it was in the $900's. Whats going on? Did I find a really good deal, or am I getting ripped off. Also, I won't be getting this until Vista comes out, so should I keep the 6600GT and use the $ saved and buy a DX10 card when it comes out?

This doesn't include the cost of the operating system.

By the time vista comes out there will probably be better graphics cards as options and m2 boards will be something to consider as well as ddr2.

That's a pretty good overall cost, as that package of parts will cost you about $720, even from Newegg....

But I've not heard of that particular vendor, which isnt surprising, as there are so many..

Newegg.....probably 1000 people a day order parts from them.

But the price is quite fair....

You are going to have to do a complete overhaul of your parts list when Vista comes out if you want your computer to have any legs. Vista is supposed to be CPU, GPU and memory hungry. I shudder to think what the GPU requirements are going to be...

I purchased a pc from Cyberpower late in 2000 or whereabouts. Perhaps they've improved, I'm not sure, but at that time their customer and technical support was absolutely terrible. Their pricing is awesome and sales is a snap, but when it comes to them helping you with a problem, forget about it.

I kid you not that when I had a video card issue, it took me ALL DAY to get ahold of their support. I even tried calling sales. The picked right up. I asked to be transferred to support for a warranty issue and waited on hold for 15+ minutes until I finally hung up. I'd call their support line and get no answer only to call back seconds later and get a busy signal.

That is what made me decide to learn how to build my own systems. I didn't want to mess around with anymore vendors. Newegg is the only vendor I have to put up with now, and that makes life easy. :)

IE: Good prices. Bad customer service.
