Too many Y-cables?

Im planning on my first build these upcoming months and I have some questions that need answering. The motherboard I will be using is the new Asus Maximus 8 Hero which has 6 fan headers and Im planning on having 9 fans in my build. 7 fans for exhaust and intake then 2 more for my noctua NH-D15 CPU cooler. I was thinking of using some Y cables to connect the fans to the motherboard since I only have 6 fan headers. My question is, will I damage the motherboard in any way by using this much fan headers? I will be using 3 4pin Y cables to connect a total of 6 fans to 3 headers.

BTW I will be using All noctua fans for the build, the IPPC pwm 2000rpm ones.

With so many fans you should be using a case fan controller for everything except CPU fan/s. Only 4 pin fans are any good for adjusting speeds and with so many of them blasting full speed, a lot of noise is guaranteed.

All the fans I will be using are 4 pin and are silent, i don't really care about noise. I'm just wondering If having 6 fans connected to 3 headers will damage the mobo?

No, not unless they are some super power drawing fans. I have few connected like that without any ill effects.
