Hi! Im bothered and torn between choosing Gen 4 or Gen 5. Im planning to buy a new gaming rig by November-December. Im currently running Ryzen 5 2600 x RX 570; I had this since 2018 that's why im planning to build a completely new one (I'll be giving this to my lil sister instead; so no parts out) Im from the Philippines (This might matter when it comes to prices)

My preferences are: Would like to try 1440p, i mostly prefer AMD (CPU and GPU, but you can try and change my mind), im looking for performance and future proof. Planning to play same God Of War, Ghost of Tsushima, Throne and Liberty, Valorant, Dota LOL and the likes. So its pretty scattered lol.

Here's my choices: (Would translate the prices into $)

AM4:
Ryzen 5 5600 @ $99 / Ryzen 5 5600x @ $103
MSI Pro-VDH B550M @ $109 / Gigabyte B550M DS3H @ $103 / Asrock B550M Pro 4 @ $97
T-Force TUF Delta RGB DDR4 3200 Mhz 16GBx2 @ $88
Gigabyte Radeon RX 7700 XT Gaming OC 12GB @ $510 / PowerColor Fighter Radeon RX 6750 XT @ $350 / Asus Dual Radeon RX 6750 XT @ $417
Corsair RM 750e @ $128
= $930-950
AM5:
Ryzen 5 7600 + MSI Pro B650M-A Wifi Bundle @ $388
TForce Delta RGB DDR5 6000MHz 16GBx2 @ $118
Gigabyte Radeon RX 7700 XT Gaming OC 12GB @ $510
Corsair RM 750e @ $128
= $1144

DarkFlash DK415M
DarkFlash DN360 AIO Cooler

Now, im considering the AM5 because im thinking of future-proofing. (Not that i will upgrade, based on my exp most of the time i don't, not unless needed) but more of the longevity of the rig. I would like this rig to survive for like 5-6 years and be able to play at least medium on 1440p during that time. That's the only reason. Do you think the difference in price and the specs itself justify my reason?

Please help me make my mind. Feel free to change some of the parts if you think there's a better option. Here's the pricelist i was looking to: Pricelist and most of the parts are from there, if you don't see it there then its from Facebook Marketplace.

Hope you can help me. Thanks!

My two pesos:

Pick the stronger processor.

When in doubt, I have found it better to pick the better/more expensive option.
If you pick the cheaper option, the savings makes you happy for a little while.
But, you will forever be wondering if you did the wrong thing.

In either case, when the November/December time frame comes around, you will have added options.
New Intel processors may be what you want, or, they will impact the price of current AM5 options.
Watch and wait.
You will get suggestions for a X3D processor that has it's plusses and minuses.
Processor offerings today, from either AMD or Intel are comparable on price performance.

As many will tell you, there is no "future proofing"
New products are better/cheaper.
Or, your needs may change.

If you are looking to 1440P, do you need a monitor?
If so, bust your budget for a good one. A monitor is one of the few products that come close to future proof.

Look at a 850w psu with a 10 or 12 year warranty.
Modern graphics cards can deliver higher than nominal voltage spikes, and a stronger high quality psu can compensate.

On graphics, also look at the nvidia offerings.
There is no necessary benefit to using a amd graphics card with a amd processor.
