Hey there :na:

I am using Deluge torrent client and i started using this client because my uTorrent was disappointing me. uTorrent used to cap at 1mb/s on a good day, so 750kbps on average. Very recently, within the week a torrent will barely pass 100kbps, but averages 35~55kbps

For me this is unacceptable considering i have 15mbps from my ISP

I have done the following
- restart modem / router (Fios factory setting reset)
- new clients
- disabled firewalls in Windows and Fios modem
- Allowed access of ports in both (while the firewalls were on)

Any suggestions? I fear that it may be an ISP throttle, but when I check my download speed through a 3rd party, it is correct to my plan.

Obviously this thread isn't arguing about the ethics of torrenting. We have just stated that to abide by the law as far as they can your ISP has made it against their rules which YOU or YOUR PARENT signed and as such they are allowed to throttle, just like you've agreed to let them.

Well I just gave them a call, they said they weren't limiting me, could they be lying? I also ran a test through Glasnot and it said my uploads could possibly be limited, but for my download speeds they could neither be confirmed nor denied whether they were limited.

Any other suggestions?

Maybe your ISP isn't being completely honest as other than limiting, I have no idea.
