toshiba 1tb basic not recognized

Hi,

i have external hard drive toshiba basic it was working good but suddenly it not recognized by all computers

Hi there abodivb,

Disk 1 is supposed to be your Toshiba drive right?
Do you have some important data stored on the drive?
In case you do, you may need to use some partition/data recovery software.
In case you don't, you can just repartition and reformat the drive.

Do you use the safely eject option before disconnecting the drive? Not doing so could result in damaged partitions, file system, etc.

yes i have important data on it.
can you suggest a software to recovery
i can't format it from diskmanagement so i think i should use softwre

no i don't use safely remove eject because it used to be using removal policy (Quick Removal)

Be careful not to overwrite the data. So, it may be a good idea to save the recovered data on another drive.

by the way hdtune is showing the hard disk is good so i will try remove the case and try it with laptop directly because it may be problem of usb chipset

Just keep in mind that this will most probably void the warranty(if under any). Also, in case the drive has some proprietary connector or hardware encryption, this will not work.
