I tried Knoppix on my loptop. It did not go through the steps. It couln't find the CD-ROM driver. My CD-Rom is TOSHIBA XM-1902B. If I install the Radhat linux on my loptop, will it cause any trouble? How can I fix it?

Red Hat 9,,, I woudl go with at least Fedora core 1 and passably FC 2. Red Hat is really out of date and your laptop may need some newer drivers.
