Toshiba Laptop Will Not Post Or Boot

I have a Toshiba L350 series laptop.
When it powers on the screen stays blank, no beeps, and no hard drive activity.
Tried shorting the contacts under the ram no change.

Sounds like a RAM problem, maybe they're not "locked-in" well or the Dimms are dead. you can try inserting the ram into the other slot but in most cases it's the RAM iteslf
