Toshiba satelite C55 shuts down often

I have a toshiba satelite C55....its not mine..but when i turned on the laptop, its say Enter Password and then shuts down at about 5 mins..what is the first step in fixing that issue? Please help..

Did you enter the password?

Yes..but its say error..so i want to believe its asking for the bios or supervisor password of the firmware instead..and its shutting down after 5 mins ..

Then you need to find out that password from the person it belongs to.

Their login credentials are not working..so thats y i believed its a password set from the bios itself..but the laptop is not allowing me to get to the bios nor ABOM..so i want to know whats the first step in fixing this
