Hi all,
I have been running into frame drop issues in various games recently (Overwatch, Modern Warfare, even Terraria), and when I opened Task Manager it showed my CPU consistently at 100% load. I saw a clear correlation between frame drops and processing power diverting to other programs. I never had issues with frame drops before in Overwatch, but now I can only get 144fps if I have nothing open beside the game. I'm not sure if I have could simply reapply thermal paste or something like that, or if it is better to just upgrade my CPU and whichever other parts need upgrading. I was already considering upgrading my case, but now I think I need to upgrade my CPU and more than likely my motherboard as well. Here is a link to my build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/RwGv68. I could be completely talking out of my ass for any part of my reasoning so any help is greatly appreciated.
