Sometimes and in some laptops, the ELAN gets disabled, and manually enabling it resolves the issue. Here is how:
> Click the Start button.
> Go to
Settings.
> Go to
Devices.
> Click the
Mouse & touchpad category from the left pane of the opened window.
> From the right pane, click the
Additional mouse options link.
> From the opened
Mouse Properties box, go to the
ELAN tab.
> From the displayed options, click to select your device and click
Enable.
You may also want to update the Gestures driver for your device in order to get flawless experience.
